The consultancy has on average more than 30 years’ experience in the communication industry. Its directors and consultants have covered every facet of the profession from major industrial, consumer and environmental crises to issues management, internal and industrial relations, and community engagement programs on significant health, medical research, infrastructure, road, energy, rail, electricity, education, mining, manufacturing and industrial projects.
Robert Masters AM, LFCPRA - Director
Robert Masters AM is a highly-experienced public relations practitioner with a background covering more than 30 years in the industry.
His experience covers corporate and government sectors, industrial and consumer markets, as well as issues and crisis management, employee relations and investor relations.
Robert specialises in government relations; risk, issues & crisis management; communication audits & strategies; corporate communication; organisational change; publications & editorial services; environmental reputation; stakeholder relations, and media relations.
Mr Masters is a former senior political journalist, having covered Federal Parliament as a member of the National Press Gallery and State Parliaments in Queensland, NSW and Victoria, as well as the Town Hall round in Brisbane and Melbourne.
Robert has also lectured widely in Australia, Asia, the United States and England on public relations communication strategies, as well as on issues and crisis management. He is a Life Fellow of Communication and Public Relations Australia and a Past National President of the then PRIA.
Maria Vampatella, Group Office Manager/Executive Assistant
Maria has worked in public relations for over 30 years with major international and national consultancies, with specific expertise in corporate and health communication, media relations, strategic management, crisis and issues management and organisational change.
As Group Manager for Robert Masters and Associates, she oversees client campaigns and coordinates the operations and administration of the programs and projects. She is also responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, and efficiency of departmental and organisational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies.
She has assisted in developing effective partnerships at a national and international level with corporates, government, health organisations and community groups covering strategic communication planning, organisational change, change management and restructuring, corporate and government integration, and strategic alliances with policymakers and leaders.
Her expertise in media relations covers all aspects of media engagement planning, recording and measuring the effectiveness of the campaigns, as well as direct media engagement with television, radio and newspaper journalists, producers and Chiefs of Staff. Her expertise also extends to communication issues management monitoring and assessment, organisational change programs and crisis media management, as well as marketing and consumer promotions across all sectors of the corporate, manufacturing and retail industries.
As Executive Assistant, Maria is responsible for the overall day-to-day running of the office and its affiliates, both nationally and internationally.
